Consider being a Freegan, really…
These people are hardcore:

They do advocate working less and voluntary joblessness though. I could get used to that.
Green Fact: Did you know that if every home in the US replaced just one light bulb, we’d save enough energy to light more than 2.5 million homes for a year and prevent greenhouse gases equivalent to the emissions of nearly 800,000 cars. Maybe you’ve heard this stat before but you’re also saving yourself money b/c they last 10x longer and you save over $30 for each bulb in energy costs. If that didn’t sell you, they’re also supposed to give off warmer tones.
Gym Hater
I hate gym memberships. Why pay for something you don’t even really want to do but should? I’ve been contemplating this membership thing since I started my job 3.5 months ago and still haven’t figured it out. I think gym salesmen are dirrty bastards.
So my current situation involves deciding between 24hr fitness or Gold’s gym. The 24hr in downtown is kinda sad, it’s a ghost town. The good thing is the sales guy was surprisingly laid back, a big guy who was dropping weight at the gym and learning Spanish (I noticed a book on his desk). The 24hr in DT isn’t as nice as the Gold’s- no swimming pool & less amenities. On the other hand, Gold’s has a lot of USC folks which ruins the vibe. They do have a pool and provide towels. The Gold’s salesmen are also the epitome of ‘DIRTY’. I’m stuck…I guess I’ll just go on price. Any suggestions? Better yet, anyone got any good deals?

(Oh yeah, who wants to do the Whole Foods 5K/10K run on May 6th? Two weeks to train.)
